Being
advanced medical professionals you must all be Basic Life Support or BLS
certified by now but what next. Being healthcare professionals or being in the
medical field you all must be aware of the life-saving Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation procedures comprising of chest compressions and rescue breaths
which when applied accurately can revive the life of a cardiac arrest victim.
You are most likely to be facing cardiac emergencies numerous times than any
other professional which you may have faced as well in the span of your career.
Because of your field you must all be BLS certified by now. BLS or Basic Life
Support is the basic CPR program where the basic life-saving techniques are
taught to a healthcare provider. So if you are a BLS certified professional now
is the time for you to go to the next level which is to enroll for an ACLS or
an Advanced Cardiac Life Support program which has specifically been designed
for the advanced healthcare professionals. For training always select an
accredited training center such as the AHA accredited CPR Cincinnati in the
Cincinnati region. At the end of a program expect to be awarded with an AHA
certification.
ACLS Classes- In the ACLS classes a student gets to learn about some
advanced life-saving procedures apart from the regular CPR procedures of chest
compressions and rescue breaths. This course has specifically been designed for
the healthcare professionals in order for them to manage and treat respiratory
and cardiovascular emergencies and handle immediate post cardiac arrest
patients. Classes are conducted in small groups where students will be
presented with various case-based scenarios through which a student would get
to learn about smooth communication between team members during emergency and
how to effectively work as a team. This course is highly recommended for
medical professionals who work in acute care areas of hospitals or other
healthcare industries, some of the acute areas in a hospital includes emergency
department, intensive care units, operating room, telemetry units, EMS/fire
departments, surgery centers, etc. Medical professionals who mostly enroll for
this program are registered nurses, new nursing graduates, paramedics,
physician assistants, respiratory therapists, etc. After the completion of the
program a student would be eligible for an AHA ACLS certification. The course
fee is 297$.
ACLS Renewal Classes- Like we mentioned earlier that a student or a professional
would be eligible for an AHA certification at the end of the program if the individual
is doing it from an AHA accredited training center such as CPR Cincinnati. But
the thing is that the certification will be valid only for 2 years which means
as the expiry date would draw closer you need to make sure to go for the ACLS renew Cincinnati classes for
re-certifying yourself or else you would lose your status of being called an
ACLS certified professional. So it is important that you timely go for the
renewal classes for being able to keep yourself updated.
